Digital Tv Installers

Warning   not all TV aerial guys are the same.

Lets face it there is good and bad in all trades so how do you find the right installer for you ?

Firstly i have noticed this year increased competition  locally from aerial trades from well out of my local post code , some from over a hundred miles away , why is this?  i will tell you .

With most of the uk now switched over and the south east being the last, firms now have to travel further afield to stay in work .

Two problems i have with this (and not because of the competition) is that although they may do a good job and are prepared to travel a couple of hundred miles to collect you money I'm wondering whether they would do the same to return and Honor the guarantee if anything goes wrong or you are unhappy with the install??.

Secondly there are regional differences to signal problems and equipment to be used which a local installer will be aware of .
So how  do you get it right? .

A recommendation from a friend or family is aways a good start , someone who has completed a working job for  them .
A local trade that you know has been in business in your town for a few years is always a good sign.

And talking of a good sign  a good van with sign writing that you see from time to time whilst out driving shows they have been around awhile.

Or you could go with the van with magnetic signs that say "we do gardens" and another day "we do aerials "  driven by the guy who used to work in the local butchers for years until made redundant  but i don't think he will be the one for you , sorry but it does happen .
What i am trying to say is take some time to find out where they are from , how long they have been in the trade and how easy is it to get hold of them after they have taken your money .
